This is my favorite bun. It is pictured often on my updos page.

The most important tip in making this bun, is for your loop to be as tight as comfortably possible. You'll see I like to wrap the beginning loop of hair around 3 fingers with my pinky sticking out; some people use 2. Just don't use your whole hand or wrist and you'll be fine. A loose wrap will make the whole updo unstable.

Combing knee length hair. Using a seamless comb to detangle is A MUST! I like the 8L and 5 Creative combs from Tenderheaded.com Usually I look at my hair while detangling, but I was trying to give the camera a good angle.
